  47. This is unclear. Benchmarks are not real until the software is released. We 
  48. have seen performance with our KittyHawk that meets the above number.

  53. KittyHawk, which uses the Pentium, is recommended. 486's don't make 
  54. price/performance sense anymore, and Lightwave will use every bit of the 
  55. Pentium performance.

  59. That's why it is important to work with a system vendor who not only 
  60. understands the hardware, but also the operating system and how to 
  61. productively apply the system to your business needs.

  65. Windows and Windows NT are completely different operating environments. With 
  66. the KittyHawk it is possible to install both and "dual boot" between the 
  67. operating systems.

  72. Windows95 is designed to be an upgrade to the aging DOS operating system. It 
  73. will have some cool features that are not yet implemented in Windows NT, 
  74. although NT will catch up quickly. Windows NT was designed from scratch to 
  75. provide a truly modern, 32-bit, mission-critical operating environment. Only 
  76. Windows NT will support multi-processing and RISC systems.

  78. The adoption rate for Windows NT is growing slowly as more 32-bit 
  79. applications become available. It takes time for application vendors to port 
  80. their 16-bit DOS/Windows applications to Windows NT. Windows95 is 
  81. accelerating this development since the 16-bit Windows will disappear, and 
  82. all new systems will take advantage of 32-bit applications. It is important 
  83. to remember that all Windows95 applications are Windows NT applications as well.
